32 Weeks

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
We finally managed to get the tree up and decorated a couple of days before Christmas, (the cutest little fat tree we could find) as well as getting in a quick photo, I think the dogs must have been engrossed in something else. You have been very active this last couple of weeks, sometimes you are head down and later in the day you'll be head up. (I can tell the difference when you have hiccups). We went to see if we could get a glimpse of you on the 4d Ultrasound, but you seemed to know what we were up too, both times we went in you had your feet and hands up in your face. (I don't think the Ultrasound Tech, bouncing the wand on your face helped, It would make me want to protect my face too.) Well the new year is almost upon us, looking forward to our adventures together.

30 - Weeks!

What a beautiful December day, 76 and sunny! We can't wait to meet you, today I started washing your tiny little clothes and blankets, to get an idea of what we have and what we still need to get. The other night you must have slept most of the day, I think you spent about a couple of hours or so moving about, super strong kicks too! Daddy was laying next to me with his hand on you and you were just kickin' away (It brough a smile to his face to feel you.) Our appointments are every two weeks now, next week we get a tour of the Birth Center (where you'll be born and start classes to prepare for your arrival. I can't believe this year is almost over, where did it go? So much to look forward to this next year, can't wait for our Adventures together to begin.

Happy Thanksgiving - 27 weeks

27 weeks , 4 days - Although it looks like I swallowed our 28lb turkey whole, I assure you it's just you in there growing and getting sweeter by the day. Yesterday morning I woke up to your hiccups and kicks, it seemed like you were moving around all morning. It happened though, Daddy finally felt you move, you gave him quite a kick and he was a little suprised at how strong it was. We are rappidly approaching the 3 trimester (the home strech). The days are starting to tire me out just a little bit now, getting to bed earlier should help with that. Kate, my friend in CA just had here little girl and Jess's little girl is due just around the corner. You'll be meeting them in April sometime. I can't wait to get our new bed I think that should also help with sleep too. Can't wait to meet you little one.

Week 25 - 101 Days to go :)

We had our 6 month appointment a week ago. The midwife said you are growing (in turn so am I, 15lbs so far and we still have 3 months to go.) I can't complain though I feel pretty good. You have been moving quite a bit these days, I defiantly know when your up now and when your taking it easy - chillaxin'. Your kicks can easily be felt now from outside your safe haven, your Dad seems to miss the really robust ones as of yet. All is well though, no news is good news. Can't wait to meet you, I said to your Daddy the other day I can't wait to see you and hold you in my arms, he said to me "she'll be here soon enough and you can't put her back once she is here, so enjoy the time you have." Growing to love you, literally, your Mum

20 Weeks, we are at the halfway point.

We are at the halfway point :) Only 135 or so more days to go. Had our 5 month check up with the midwife this week, listened to your heart and she said "all is well we'll see you next month.  Well it seems you have been busy all this time (bouncing and stretching out in your little home) but It finally happened, I finally felt you the other day! Still not quite hard enough for people on the outside of your little bubble to feel it, but I did. The other night it seemed like you were moving around in there for about 30mins or so. Love you, can't wait to see you.

19 weeks

Today was your full anatomy scan with the the ultrasound tech. She asked if we wanted to know what you are, and of course we said YES! She scanned your brain, heart, kidneys, belly, feet, and hands, it all looks great! Every things there that should be and nothing extra that shouldn't, then she said "it's a girl". We are so happy and can't wait to meet you little one. I am still waiting to feel that 1st kick, the tech said I have probably been feeling you kick and I'm just discounting it as gas, either way I'm enjoying every minute of it! We called your Grammy and Granpa and your Nana and Papa to tell them the exciting news, everyone is excited to meet you. We head out to California next week to visit your Great Grandma, Great Aunt Lynn and all your cousins I can't wait, I haven't seen them since your Daddy and I got married over 3 years ago  (too much time has passed and it went so quickly). Nana and Papa are going to be picking us up from the airport :) and I know your Uncle Greg, Lisa & Michelle are very excited to. It has been a while! Hopefully we'll also get by the beach one morning, I love to walk the beach in the am!

13 Weeks and counting

Not much to see at this point, although I have lost my waist and don't quite fit into any of my normal clothes, it is well worth the sacrifice. These last couple of weeks have been great! I have my energy back and feeling pretty good. No movement yet but I can't wait to feel you move, should be in the up coming weeks.

12 weeks little one, your about the size of a peach, (GA peach, not the giant CA ones ;) You were really bouncing around today, took a couple of shots till we got one where you are holding still.

12 Weeks, only 193 days to go....

Today was the longest appointment but everything went smoothly, I didn't want to bore anyone with the long visit so I told Daddy to head over around 10:15 for the ultrasound. He was a little early (brownie points), so he got to enjoy the sweet sounds of your heart beating (158bpm) when the Doppler was on my belly. Apparently you are hanging on my right side at the moment. The midwife was really awesome and answered all our questions. She did say based on her calculations our DUE DATE is auctually Feb. 20th, being that babys seem to arrive when they are ready and not necessarily on the due date, we'll have to wait and see. We are planing for a water birth, that's right no epidural. We'll see how it all happens when it comes down to it. For now it seems like whats right for us. We are so excited and can't wait to meet you....

1st appointment today! 8 weeks, 4 days

9:30 am - 1st visit to the Doctor’s office today. It was amazing, at only 8 weeks your Daddy and I were able to see you on the screen (it took my breath away to see your tiny little body and heart beating 180 bpm). Then she placed the audio on, we could also already hear your heart beat, amazing! At this point I am tearing up with joy, on the ultrasound our suspicions were confirmed, we have a little one on the way :).
