Hello Emma Rylan Dunn!

Emma Rylan Dunn arrived by cesarean on 02-13-2012 at 1:14pm, at 6lbs 10ozs and 19 3/4" long, perfect in every way.  Daddy was the 1st person to hold you and check you out, it was love  at 1st sight! Nana and Papa were also there to see you too. Check out your full head of hair! Grandma & and Grandpa wanted to be her so bad, she told me she almost hopped on a plane (she is so excited to see you and can't wait until she is here on the 22nd to meet you).

February 13th, 2013 - Delivery Day

38 Weeks!

It's official, I think you have run out of space. I can't really sit without you pushing against my ribs. Hold tight, you only have a couple of days left. If all goes as planned we'll be meeting you Monday afternoon. Can't wait! Then the real adventures are ready to begin

36 Weeks - We're almost there, can't wait to meet you!

Well despite my attempts to help you turn: Laying on an inverted board (with my hips above my head, 3-4x's a day with music playing on the lowest part of my belly), some exercises that looked pretty silly and Acupuncture (as well as burning something herbal cigar looking thing between my toes and at my heal for about 25 mins a day). Our last option was called an external cephalic version (basically - we went into the hospital and they injected me with something that keeps my uterus -your home- from contracting and possibly going into labor, and they -Dr.-  manually try to turn you. lots of belly jelly and elbow grease -not the most comfortable way to do things-.) Long story short, you like the position you are in, Breech, and in turn we get to meet you a week or two earlier that I thought we were going to. So on the bright side I did get  breakfast in bed at our visit and got a dry run done so were ready for the big day. Looks like we get to meet you on  Feb. 13th, that is unless you keep us on our toes and decide to make your arrival before then. You aren't even here yet and your personality is already shinning through. note: you are breech just like your Daddy was when he was born and you defiantly are stubborn like your Mommy.

34 Weeks - Baby Shower :)

In honor of you, The Finley Family put together an awesome Baby Shower on January 15th. It was so much fun, with a fantastic dinner (carne asada taco bar, YUM! I think you really enjoyed it you were quite active that night) Friends and Family gathered together just for you, and showered you with well wishes and presents. THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!

32 Weeks

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
We finally managed to get the tree up and decorated a couple of days before Christmas, (the cutest little fat tree we could find) as well as getting in a quick photo, I think the dogs must have been engrossed in something else. You have been very active this last couple of weeks, sometimes you are head down and later in the day you'll be head up. (I can tell the difference when you have hiccups). We went to see if we could get a glimpse of you on the 4d Ultrasound, but you seemed to know what we were up too, both times we went in you had your feet and hands up in your face. (I don't think the Ultrasound Tech, bouncing the wand on your face helped, It would make me want to protect my face too.) Well the new year is almost upon us, looking forward to our adventures together.

30 - Weeks!

What a beautiful December day, 76 and sunny! We can't wait to meet you, today I started washing your tiny little clothes and blankets, to get an idea of what we have and what we still need to get. The other night you must have slept most of the day, I think you spent about a couple of hours or so moving about, super strong kicks too! Daddy was laying next to me with his hand on you and you were just kickin' away (It brough a smile to his face to feel you.) Our appointments are every two weeks now, next week we get a tour of the Birth Center (where you'll be born and start classes to prepare for your arrival. I can't believe this year is almost over, where did it go? So much to look forward to this next year, can't wait for our Adventures together to begin.
